Hi! all, this my first time that i write a review.but i think this may be useful for someone who is looking for gigantic office space and bigger playground.
[if there are some fault analysis or wrong data i beg to apologize here]

It's was a year and a half later.i followed my friend to APPLE store.

He intended to buy mac keyboard.My eye was crashed on a big package of monitor.

i asked the seller "is that monitor is big as it's shown on that?"

"yes" she told me "it is 30 inches monitor"



Ha?i's so surprise.Now the time i had used 21.3" monitor i think it was a biggest monitor in the market now [i 'm pc user not mac]

i asked for the price.she told about 70,000 bath.but early week my friend was bought a brand new 19" monitor Samsung 907p.

price is about 24,000 bath with extra discount cause he had purchased some for office order.[i think it look so shinny]

And my good old monitor Viewsonic 21.3",my cousin had picked it from USA for me is merely 23,000 bath.

At that time 17' monitor was still in a main stream.

After i was back.i start to search data of 30" monitor in Google[It's real...Google made man smarter!]

collect and wait for a best deal for a long time.

Then i had found "Mr. underline" topic at forum Overclockzone.

HP lp 3065 it was very interesting too.



So i will conclude and share the data that i had collected for a while.

At first ....year 2004 Apple had lunched their product"cinema display"

700:1 contrast 16milisec respond 400cd/m2 They use s-isp panel



and come along with another manufacture,Dell sent 3007wfp 700:1 contrast

11 milisec respond 400cd/m2 s-isp (72% color gamut)



[the developed version was released in the second quater this year,

3007wfp-hc 1000:1 contrast 8 milisec respond 300cd/m2

s-isp Panel with wg-ccl (Wide Color Gamut CCFL tube) offer

92%color gamut capable]

the PCWorld said

"The Dell( 3007wfp )didn't perform quite as well as the other displays when rendering color,

though it did represent colors nicely overall. While colors in a screen of a Web site looked

bright and accurate, some photos appeared slightly dark, with muted shades. The effect was not

really distracting--just enough to be barely visible."



then follow by hp HP LP3065 1000:1 contrast 8 milisec respond 300cd/m2 s-isp.

Some reviewer said HP, it's also similar to new dell monitor(3007wfp-hc).

It was pre-calibrated out of box.so the color is more accurate color than other monitor

OK LET 'S ME introduce you how to compare this diagram

just looking at THE "dE 94" Scale

if bar is 0==>1 that mean excellent color accurate

if bar is 1==>2 the color is accurate

if bar is 2==>3 color quality is satisfactory, but a graphic designer

probably wouldn’t be content

and more than 3===>10

that mean the expect color is noticeably different from the show on

the screen.




Get to the point if you look at graph that shown 305t(not plus) more accurate

color than Dell 3007wfp-hc but look at grayscale it dose better than

305t (not plus) Dell 3007wfp-hc seem mush more over satuarated red.

but some reviewer said after calibrate all monitor the s-ips panel

had shown slightly accurate than s-pva but could not seen by barely eye in greyscale.

let's see this graph below



you will see after calibrate all Samsung and Dell are a excellent color

accurate lcd monitor in the whole.

Some user review said "Samsumg appear a stark contrast

straight out of box and can live with an uncalibrated monitor.

but some panel come nearly to unusable without calibration"

even after calibration Dell 3007wfp-hc still produces oversatuarated

red.white still in tint of red also.

And how about color gamut of this panel.

the range of gamut color said that Dell and Hp is wider than Samsung.

I'm also said Samsung too stick to the s-RGB color gamut on the graph had shown.(hint that this review is on the old 305t)

but some review said some color was muted on other monitor was shown on 305t.

It 's another moot point on my decision.

After i 'd read a many review so i decide to go with Samsung cause,
i don't have the color calibrator.

and monitor has only 2 button of brightness control in front of bezel.



but i really like this.

Some of my predecessor crt monitor. i waste my time half a day to adjust this(not even calibrate).

I will hint you that 30" color calibrate is impossible to get from 2 button or even your barely eye ect. Adobe gamma.

Only i try to looking for dead pixel it make me blur for a while.

and very significant factor is (look at this label below)



that's right this model they also use (Wide Color Gamut CCFL tube)


Out of the box impressive.

It was sent to me since Tuesday with a massive package not too heavy was about 13 kg.



let's open it OK look in the box, it had

1 power cord (I'm not used)

1 CD manual (I'm not used)

1 usb up link (I'm not used)

1 Dual DVI link it is important part.






and my LCD very Important part





A 60 time of 4 million pixel /sec is in your hand. 2560 x 1600.
It require dual link dvi i will show you a difference between this.

The left is Dual DVI and right is single DVI It seem they use all connector on it.



look at the cord was printed with dual link label and full interface of dVI some reviewer said like a 2 dvi link cord in one package.



I didn't remember how much bandwidth they require but if you use single link it can only display 1280x800pixel.

let's see how big is it I compare with my Phillips 32" LCD TV



compare with my good old samsung 17"



compare with 21.3" Viewsonic VP2130b




My graphic card is asus 9800 gtx .q6600 on Dell Precision t 3400. 4G of EEC ram.

So next i will describe "how i feel about the monitor it 's not a scientific data"




OK first ,I will continue with the office and internet work.

after a few hour of installation(including clean my room and desk).

i put it on and notice my LCD have little tilt in left corner.it was a defect.



but i decide not to claim this cause i used to have a very bad

experience when i send my Sony 21" monitor to service center it

came back with some scratch on the screen.

Samsung service told me to pack and send it back they will fix it.

but i asked to change new one. they said in case of change it must

have 4 point of dead pixel.

then i 'm looking for dead pixel it have only 3 dead

[my friend he was received this LCD but he did not check it before]

but it was unnoticeable when i work that ok.

So i decide not to send it back.

And it's connector has only 1 dual DVI and 4 usb port and 1 up

stream but i think it difficult to reach.it may suit for keyboard and

mouse or item not frequently change.for me it not necessary.



It was almost absolute plug and play.




I do only change resolution

to 2560x1600.first it impact through my eye is BOOM-BOOM.

And how's a crispy text, no need to adjust anything.

Oh! i forget to tell that i always adjust window text to 109% from the

original.i think it use 2 pixel in every written character thickness.




A very significant is color it's original color that naturally appears.

so i adjust brightness.

But it don't has even OSD to know how's level then I count the

click on button. appear that it has about about 70 click from darkest

to brightest.when it was in lowest or highest level the power button

will blink to tell there aren't necessary to press anymore.



i used 27-30 click that level is comfort to my eyes.



i has waited for eye1 display2 colourimiter and calibrator to calibrate my secondary monitor to match the color.

In the below pic.

Take a closer look at it's color it has more varies tone and shade that

used to mute on my old Viewsonic but appear in 305T PLUS.

i really want to show the picture to compare but i dont know how to set my camera [it 's look similar]

but in barely eyes you can see the difference.



Let's take a look at the web.i have no comment only there are a lot

areas for open web while working



Work area is marvelous. It's create an impact in perspective.

I move toolbar to my second monitor.



but there have an effect that some reviewer call a tennis...bla...bla..

sorry i don't remember that,that's a complaint in your neck cause you

just turn your head from left to right if there's some area out of your eye sight.




Work Hard , Play Harder

First i want to show 2 games.

1. Call of Duty(R) 4 - Modern Warfare(TM)

2. Race Driver: GRID

but I had a wrong configuration with Grid.It didn't appear any thing

on my screen except the sound.I had tried to delete config file but it be the same..

there are only Call of Duty(R) 4 - Modern Warfare(TM)

2560x1600 make my heart beat BOOM-BOOM.6 ms response time make it as well at all.

but doesn't make any different.I was still hit by the terrorist.





Gun'S smoke look so real.



How's about the movie

305t it hasn't HDCP capable but in this plus model,

I'm not sure that they will include this feather.

and no scaler for watching Blu-Ray and HD-DVD on this monitor

i get start with divx original resolution is 640x336.



For me it's ok black is black no ghosting



And the next is file was ripped from HD-DVD : Tranformer



Detail is cripsy 1920x 800 pixel



It look alike EVA - 01



Skin detail and color is fine did you see color scratch on her face?



I can see more detail on this monitor.





The final word

it 's remain some detail that i can't describe cause i didn't clear in technical data.For example Homogeneity of colors,responsiveness,viewing angle...

but the overview is seem greater than i expect.I'm also happy with it.

Make my work more convenient.

More space more productivity.

actually i had read your topic several time that very useful for me.
when you were buy that huge LCD there's a few choice and hard to find any review,
but I'm so jealous.

How Much ?

I want a big size led for my work.

My friend had got this deal is about 48,000 but in brochure is about 67,000
(my friend he's always have a good deal..)
but i confirm you will really love this mammoth.

Hi..I use sketchup and other cad program to be clear in every point i

won't miss.and it is easy for me to describe work to my staff .

So I want more space to work.

To tell you,it create more real perspective perception to me.

you will love this.

ผมค่อน้างมีปัญหากับการคาลิเบรทจอซัมซุงพอสมควรครับ ไม่รู้สินะ คาลิเบรทยากจริงๆครับกว่าจะลงตัว แต่ก็อาจจะเป็นเฉพาะ panel ตัว 19 นิ้วตัวนี้มั๊งครับ จะให้ไปเล่นพวก color space แบบ Adobe RGB ได้เช่น พวก eizo นี่หมดปัญญาครับ แพงเกิน พอดีส่วนใหญ่ผมใช้เวลาหมดไปกับการถอด raw files หน่ะครับ แล้วต้องนำภาพไปอัดที่ร้านหรือนำไป process ต่อทีหลังครับ ก็เลยต้องจำเป็นต้องคาลิเบรทครับ แต่มันกำลังจะลาโลกแล้วเนี่ยตัว 2express ธรรมดาๆนี่แหล่ะ (มีปัญหากับจอที่กามุตแคบๆพอสมควร แกว่งระดับนึงครับ) ผมก็ว่าจะเปลี่ยนเหมือนกัน รอมันพังจริงๆก่อนครับ (ไม่ได้ทำเป็นอาชีพโดยตรงแต่เป็นงานอดิเรกที่ชอบครับ)

ถ้ามีตัว 3elite นี่ รีวิวเสริมกับตัวจอตัวนี้ก็จะ เป็นรีวิวที่เยี่ยมทีเดียวครับ เช่น ทำเป็นโพรไฟล์ออกมาให้เห็นๆกันก่อนและหลังคาลิเบรทกันอย่างงี้เลยก็น่าจะดีครับ เพราะจอไซส์นาดนี้ ทำงานเฉพาะด้านอย่างท่านนี่ ได้เนื้องานมากกว่าแน่นอน ถ้ามีก็รบกวนด้วยครับ ขอบคุณมากๆ


ปล.ทำงานด้าน สถาปนิก - interior design หรือเปล่าครับ เห็นว่า ใช้สองโปรแกรมนั้นพอดี

ปล2. ที่ว่าคาลิเบรทยาก อาจจะเป็นข้อจำกัดของตัวคาลิเบรทนะครับ เซนเซอร์มันเล็กครับ โดนการ์มุทแคบเข้าไปก็ออกอาการให้เห็นบ้างครับ ไม่ได้ว่าจอท่านไม่ดีนะครับ อย่าพึ่งเข้าใจผิดอะไรครับ หมายถึงจอผมเองนั่นแหล่ะ ไม่รู็ว่า ระยะหลังๆpanel ของเจ้านี่เป็นเหมือนกันหรือเปล่า แต่คิดว่า คงแก้ไขไปเยอะแล้วมั๊ง ตามเวลาครับ
