Help me choose laptop from US

Hey guys I'm new in this community. I'm living in New York and I've planed to getting laptop for playing games. and now I have 2 laptops to be chosen.

one is Asus g50vt-x1

and Asus g50vt-x5

they both alomost the same price ($949 and $999 about 40,000 bath Tax included)

Are they good to play games now? and can we find better laptop in that range of price in Thailand?

They both are great for gaming. The differences are CPU, RAM (Bus are difference) and Custom Paint.
If you take the Asus g50vt-x1, you'll got a better CPU (it has Intel C2D P8400) but slower RAM (PC2-5300) which you can change it later in a small price.
Instead if you choose the Asus g50vt-x5 , you'll got a Custom Paint on your laptop's body, faster RAM (PC2-6400) but slower CPU (Intel C2D P7450).

In my opinion it's better to take the X1, low speed RAM is not a problem at all. It's so easy to change it later besides, RAMs are so cheap nowadays.

Also forget about buying a gaming laptop in Thailand. You'll never find a laptop with such a powerful graphic card as GeForce 9800M GS or any 9800 series.

One last thing is if you could refund the tax when you're coming back to Thailand, it'd be a lot cheaper.

How about compare these laptop to Benq s41,42 or another one 50 something -*-. Is it worth to get these laptop?

เทียบกะBenq S41แล้ว Asus g50แรงกว่าครับ
เทียบกับS42 ถ้าเป็นตัวCPU S42รุ่นท๊อปแรงกว่า แต่การ์ดจอAsusแรงกว่าในทุกๆรุ่น
S42 ได้การ์ดจอ 9600M GT แต่Asus G50 ได้ 9800น่อ

ถ้าเทียบกับS57 (ใช่ไหมอ่ะ ที่มีการ์ดจอ HD4650) Asus ก็ยังการ์ดจอแรงกว่าอยู่ดี

คิดเป็นตัวเงินแล้ว 999x37 = 36,963 ก็ยังคุ้มกว่าอยู่ดี ไม่รู้คืนภาษีได้ป่าว(ลองถามเค้าดู) แต่ราคานี้ได้ 9800M GS คุ้มครับ

เรื่องเเรม หาเปลี่ยนคงไม่ยากนัก
