So surprise surprise, my main monitor (an LG Flatron W2240T) I bought for dirt cheap years ago is finally crapping out on me. The symptoms are it randomly shuts off and then on again after a couple of seconds repeatedly. At first I thought it was the caps in the supply but they are good and it turns out the ccfl tubes are going so instead of just buying new replacement tubes how about we go green and see if cheap LED kits off eBay are worth the time and money. I show the general installation process as well as some roadblocks I ran into.
