Creative X-Fi (Creative CA20K2) on board
Only available on the Assassin and Sniper, is a Creative CA20K2 PCI Express X-Fi digital audio processor onboard. This is the same chip you would find in the current Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi sound card line.
The digital-to-analog converter (DAC) is a Cirrus Logic CS4382, supporting up to 24-bit 192KHz 8-channel conversion.
The high-gain high current NJM4556A dual op-amp by New Japan Radio Co. Ltd. is a tried and tested part, and is used to drive the front channels. The rest of the channels use ST Microelectronics' MC4558 dual op-amps.
Two different types of Nichicon audio-grade aluminium electrolytic capacitors are used for the Assassin's audio portion: gold-colored MW series and green-colored MUSE ES.
