  • Need Help for overclocking core i7 2600k and Asus P8z68-v pro

I would like to overclocking but I'm new for this. Please suggest me following this environment.
    CPU Intel core i7 2600k
    Mainboard Asus P8Z68-V pro
    RAM G.Skill Ripjaw x series (blue) 8GB DDR3-1600 F3-12800CL8D-8GBXM
    PSU Corsair CMPSU-750TX 750w ATX12v v2.2 SLI Certified CrossFire Ready 80
SSD OCZ Vertex 2 60GB SATA II MLC for Caching
    HDD 2TB WD black 7200 rpm. x 2 raid 0
    VGA on board
CPU fan is original in the box (intel)
I mostly use to convert video file and query data from SQL.
My question is what would be the best setup OC for my system. If I use original CPU fan from factory, how fast of speed that I can go without heat problem.
What multiple number and clock speed should I use?

Really appreciated experienced person to give me suggestion.
    Thanks
    Kobe

as your spec, you maybe overclock to 4.5Ghz - 4.8Ghz with stock sink
Setup Tweak CPU in BIOS page
    Multiple : 45
    BCLK : 100
RAM bus : 1600 and setup CL as ram spec
    VRAM : 1.6
    Vcore : 1.350 +/-
    Other : Auto

      Thanks for your suggestion.
If I put ZALMAN 9500A-LED 92mm 2 Ball CPU Cooler which will make CPU runs under 40 C, which setup tweak should be.

PS I'm Thai krub but poor typing Thai skill.

      Big Thanks

        ha ha ha ^ ^!

You can't control temp. under 40C when CPU is full load for stock heatsink or liquid cooling.

Normaly, sandy gen will start temp. 35C - 40C with idle condition and 70C - 75C when CPU is full load in turbo mode(3.8Ghz)

So that, you must be use big CPU heatsink if you need to reduce temp.
But I found some user has use stock heatsink for runs CPU @ 4.8Ghz

          Thanks again krub,
I will follow your guide with 4.5 Ghz. That should be enough for what I need.
          Best regards
          Kobe

Its best to use new cooler rather than stock one, its craps.
