จากการที่ตอนแรกมีข่าวว่า Samsung จะใส่ใจในเรื่องวัสดุมากขึ้น และหันจะไปใช้ Polycarbonate ใน Next Galaxy (S III)
หลายๆคน และหลายๆเว็บ ได้จับ S III กันมาแล้วแต่ด้วยความที่ไม่รู้ หรืออะไรสักอย่างก็ได้โปรยๆกันว่า "สรุปคือพลาสติกเหมือนเดิม"
ซึ่งถ้าหากว่ากันจริงๆ Polycarbonate มันก็พลาสติกเหมือนกันนี่แหละ(Thermoplastic ใครเรียนมาจะรู้) แต่มันไม่ใช่พลาสติกธรรมดาๆทั่วไป
