Corsair Unveils Affordable Nova-Series SSD

Corsair Memory, a leading supplier of memory modules, solid-state drives (SSDs) and other advanced computer components, has announced its new cost-efficient SSD that combines great performance and low price. The device is designed strictly for installation of operating system (OS) and does not feature high capacity.
Corsair's Nova Series 32GB SSD delivers read speeds up to 195MB/s, write speeds up to 70MB/s and features 64MB DRAM cache. The Nova family os solid-state drives is based on Indilinx Barefoot controllers that support Trim function for high-performance. The new SSD is supplied with a three year warranty, and is backed up by Corsair's customer service and technical support.
"The 32GB Nova Series SSD is great for streamlined boot drives, netbook upgrades, and even RAID configurations. The aggressive pricing of these drives makes the benefits of SSDs accessible to everyone," said Jim Carlton, vice president of marketing at Corsair.
The capacity of 32GB is hardly sufficient for storing large amount of data and is merely enough for Windows 7 operating system along with a couple of frequently used programs. For Corsair and other SSD suppliers it is important, however, to demonstrate advantages of solid-state drives to customers and an inexpensive high-speed low capacity SSD is just what the doctor ordered for this goal.
For a limited time, Corsair's Nova 32GB SSDs will available for as little as $69.99 after mail-in rebate.
