Sapphire is the second company, after PowerColor, to launch a new graphics card based on AMD Radeon HD 4730 GPU. As we know, TSMC is having problems with the new 40nm technology, so AMD decides to launch HD 4730 using more reliable 55nm technology.
The graphics card sports 640 stream processors, and the GPU operates 750MHz while the 512MB GDDR5 memory runs at 900MHz (3600MHz effective). It also comes with dual-slot fan assisted cooler optimized for low noise and offers dual-link D-Sub, DVI and HDMI outputs.
With DirectX 10.1 and CrossFireX support, the Sapphire HD 4730 is now available for pre-order at around €80.
