Not wasting much time, VIA has now announced that next week at ESC Silicon Valley 2009, it will showcase the first motherboard built around Em-ITX, a form factor of its own design which was introduced earlier this month. Dubbed EITX-3000 and seen below, the board is aimed to be used in fanless environments and it's powered by the VX800 chipset and can be equipped with a 1.0/1.3 GHz Nano or a 500 MHz Eden ULV processor.
The EITX-3000 comes with one DDR2 SO-DIMM offering support for up to 2GB of RAM, Chrome9 integrated graphics, the Vinyl VT1708B HD audio codec, two SATA 3.0 Gbps ports, dual Gigabit Ethernet, one D-Sub and two LVDS outputs, and two USB connectors. According to its maker, the first ever Em-ITX motherboard will become available to project customers in early May.
