Micron, Samsung and Qimonda said that Intel has validated their DDR3 SO-DIMMs for the upcoming Centrino 2 platform, previously code-named Montevina.
It appears that all three companies have been sampling memory modules ranging from 512 KB to 2 GB since early this year with a mass production scheduled to begin this quarter. Supported data rates range from 800 MHz to 1333 MHz.
Micron said that it will also offer 4 GB DDR3 modules, which are currently going through a validation process at Intel.
