Download the Samsung NVMe SSD Driver. This software was released to support the Samsung NVMe SSD 960 EVO series SSDs.
While there is no need to install a driver but Samsung does offer a dedicated NVMe driver for optimal compatibility and performance. Through the use of the Samsung NVMe Driver it becomes possible for example to operate the 960 EVO under Windows 7. We HIGHLY recommend you using the new Samsung NVME driver as it does offer better performance, in certain conditions the EVO is even faster than a PRO model without the NVME driver.
While this driver is released for the Samsung 960 EVO series, it should benefit the 960 PRO as well. Also, it is confirmed that the SM951 NVMe series is compatible as well indicating that the 950 EVO and PRO are compatible as well. Please let us know your findings by replying to this forum thread.
