Don?t Update Your Nvidia Drivers, PUBG Corp Warns
Nvidia regularly rolls out driver updates for its GPUs. These driver updates bring game-specific optimizations, fixes and more. This time around PUBG developer has asked players to not update their Nvidia GPU driver as it is causing problems with the game.
PUBG Corp took to their official Twitter account and warned players to not update to the Nvidia GPU driver launched on October 4. According to the devs, the driver update is causing incorrect shadows to display in-game.
To be specific, PUBG Corp has warned to not update to Nvidia driver version 416.16. In the meantime, PUBG Corp is working with Nvidia to fix the problem. So if you are one of those who is still playing PUBG then you might want to wait a while.
Aside from the drivers, Nvidia?s newly released RTX 2080 and 2080 Ti are facing problems. Users are reporting that their Nvidia RTX GPUs aren?t working properly. Some are facing fan issues while some are facing display problems.
This issue could be the result of a faulty Nvidia driver but, until Nvidia confirms it we can only speculate.
