As usual, the big designers are offering something for everyone who wants to look like an idiot: garments with cutouts, see-through lace, short sleeved shirts romper-length skirts and dresses, skin-tight pants, chiffon trains, long T-shirts pawned off as dresses, frontless tops, sideless tops and see-through pleated skirts.
As I understand the process, big designers put on what amount to art shows of clothing for women with the figures of 11-year-old boys, jeans vest women then the buyers for expensive stores move in and clean it up so they can sell it to people other than the fashion press.Once this is done, the cheap stores grab a few looks and run them up in sweatshops so ? as Meryl Streep confirmed in ?The Devil Wears Prada? http://www.shoppingwant.com/sweater-...ose_p1311.html big-time fashion editors can laugh at the rest of us when we wear them.
In my lifetime, which in terms of fashion seasons has been about 700 years, I have seen only one era of true change: When dignified, full-skirted, highly tailored and structured clothes of the postwar period gave way to tight, skimpy, candy-colored outfits in the 1960s. http://www.shoppingwant.com
