The 9800GT is just a 8800GT with a different name. so technically its not as good as the 8800GTS but really there is little difference. the 8800GTS has 128 SPU's and the 9800GT(8800GT) has 112 SPU's

The 8800GTS is better for folding since it has more SPU's all in all i'd say go with what ever one you can get for the best price.
