XP ค่า Default ของ SecondLevelDataCache เป็น 0

เข้าตามนี้นะครับ (คลิกที่ช่องด้านซ้าย)

ดับเบิ้ลคลิกทางด้านขวา คำว่า SecondLevelDataCache
เลือกเป็น Decimal (เลขฐานสิบ เนื่องจาก Hex... มันเป็นฐาน 16)
ปรับขนาดของ L2_Cache ตาม CPU ของท่านครับ

ก็ไม่ได้คิดเองครับ
พอดีไปอ่านเจอมาที่ arip อ่ะครับ

เท่าที่ลองกับโน๊ตบุคผม (ASUS A6QT Turion64x2 TL52, Ram1.3GB bus533)
ลองเทสตู้ปลา... ปรากฎว่า
คะแนน CPU ขึ้นมาประมาณ พัน กว่าคะแนน เป็น 52,000 จาก 51,000

CPU-mark คะแนนเท่าเดิมเลย (Version เก่า 32bit)

เล่นเกมพวก BF2 ก็ยังไม่ค่อยเห็นความแตกต่างเท่าไหร่ ....

Benchmark ตัวอื่นๆ ยังไม่ได้ลอง เนื่องจากไม่ค่อยได้โหลดไว้

หากใครมีวิธีทดสอบการเปลี่ยนแปลงกับการปรับค่าครั้งนี้อย่างไร
บอกไว้ด้วยนะครับ เพราะอยากรู้เหมือนกัน แต่ไม่ค่อยมีข้อมูลพวก

มันไปถามจาก HAL แล้วไม่ทราบว่าซีพียูมี L2 cache เท่าไหร่
ซึ่งเหมาะกับซีพียูรุ่นเก่าๆ (ประมาณเพนเทียมร้อย)

SecondLevelDataCache can increase performance by approximately 2 percent in certain cases for older computers with ample memory (more than 64 MB) by scattering physical pages better in the address space so there are not so many L2 cache collisions. Setting SecondLevelDataCache to 256 KB rather than 2 MB (when the computer has a 2 MB L2 cache) would probably have about a 0.4 percent performance penalty.

จากการที่ไปอ่านเว็บอ่านที่เข้าพูดๆกัน ถ้าตั้งค่าเป็น0แสดงว่ามันหาแคสออโต้อยู่แล้วครับไม่ต้องไปตั้งอีก
แต่ถ้าเครื่องเก่าๆก่อนแพนเทีย3ก็ต้องตั้งมัน
