Models

The next-generation AMD 8-Series Chipsets, part of the AMD Leo Platform (with 45nm "STARS" processors and ATI RV870 graphics cards), are expected in Q2 2009 and consists of two subseries

RD890 (890FX)
RS880D (890GX)
RS880 (880G)
RS880C (870)

They supports Socket AM2+ and Socket AM3. RD890 is a revised verson of RD790 (790FX) with better support for CrossFire. The rest integrate GPU. They are basically revised versions of 780G with higher graphics core clock, power saving options, and improved UVD. A new southbridge ATI SB800 may be postponed.

คำถาม ทำไม AUXTIN ใน CPU-Z ถึงได้ค่ามากผิดปกติ

ถ้าจะพูดง่ายๆก็คือตัวเซ็นเซอร์มัน พัง ขาด หรือไม่มีการต่ออยู่ (คือการทำงานผิดพลาดของตัวเซ็นเซอร์)
ตอนได้มาใหม่ๆมันมีขึ้นมาไหมล่ะครับ ถ้าไม่มีมาแต่แรกแสดงว่าตัววัดอุณหภูมิตัวนี้เขาไม่ได้ต่อมาให้แต่แรก ขึ้นอยู่กับเมนบอร์ด
ผมเคยหาข้อมูลอยู่นานได้ความว่า
ตัวเซ็นเซอร์นี้จะเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของชิพที่อยู่ใน super IO chip ที่เราดูใน CPU-Z จะเห็นในแท็บเมนบอร์ด เช่นของผมเป็น ITE IT8721

ซึ่งตัววัดอุณหภูมินี้ จะให้ค่ามา3ค่า
CPUTIN = CPU Temperature INput
SYSTIN = SYStem Temperature INput
AUXTIN = AUXiliary Temperature INput

ซึ่งพวกเซ็นเซอร์ที่เขาใช้วัดก็อย่างเช่น Thermister จะให้ค่าเป็นความต่างศักย์ไฟฟ้า
พอโลหะตัวนำร้อนจะทำให้ค่าความต้านทานเปลี่ยนแปลง ค่าอุณหภูมิที่วัดได้จึงเปลี่ยนแปลงไปด้วยครับ

เห็นมีคนถามคำถามนี้ถามกันเยอะจังนะครับ

AMD processors report the temperature via a special register in the CPU's northbridge. Core Temp reads the value from the register and uses a formula provided by AMD to calculate the current temperature.
The formula for the Athlon 64 series, early Opterons and Semprons (K8 architecture) is: 'Core Temp = Value - 49'.
For the newer generation of AMD processors like Phenom, Phenom II, newew Athlons, Semprons and Opterons (K10 architecture), and their derivatives, there is a differnt formula: 'CPU Temp* = Value / 8'.

The sensor in AMD CPUs can report temperatures between -49C and 206C.

*CPU Temp is because the Phenom\Opteron (K10) have only one sensor per package, meaning there is only one reading per processor.
