-Sprint swim
-Your head now automatically raises itself when aiming over cover
-Support is now much more effective at using suppression, while other classes are not as effective anymore.
-Suppression is now not as effective in CQB
-You can dive and use pistols while swimming on the surface
-Defibs now have to charge before you can revive someone. They are also disabled in alpha gameplay, due to a bug.
-Pistol/Secondary weapon customization is confirmed
-Mini medkits and ammo packs with semi limited ammo. ( In addition to the BF3 large ammo and medkits ) These are one time use and resupply/heal only one player.
-First aid packs heal slower when you move away from them.
- Zeroing is handled like switching the firemode on any other gun in the game
-Instant sprinting is gone. You have to build up speed first.
-New perk system. Each squad has a bar and every player fills it with points. Once a squad reaches a certain amount of points, a new perk is activated. Points in that bar are tied to the player, so if player A leaves squad A to join squad B, then his points will be in squad Bs bar. Squad wipe completely wipes the bar of that squad. It'll also decrease if your squad is not active anymore.
-Gadgets are now slot independent, so you have a list of class specific gadgets and 2 slots in your loadout and you can use every combination you want.
-You reload entire magazines now. Ammo in the old magazine is lost. ONLY IN HARDCORE SO FAR.
-Guns have 5 equip options : optic(eg: RDS), barrel (eg: muzzle break), accessory (eg: green/red laser, canted ironsights), underbarrel (eg: vertical grip, angled grip), paint (10+ color options)
-Adjustable zooms for Sniper rifles
-Angled foregrip to reduce initial recoil and provide a higher accuracy while ADS, the regular foregrip will provide a better accuracy for hipfire
-Green lasersight to make you less visible from a distance
-C4 is on Recon class - it can also be placed on boats while swimming
-Recons get motion balls and rangefinders
Map and Terrain
-Map is dusty after the collapse of the skyscraper, low visibility
-The collapsing skyscraper is not a scripted event, like the tower on caspian. Instead, you have to destroy 4 load bearing pillars.
-Metal detectors, gates fire extinguishers and more create a more living and interactive environment
Scoring Changes
-A new melee bonus, worth 25 points
-A new flag possession bonus, worth 10 points
-High damage kill assists count as kills
-A new vehicle hit bonus, worth 20 points for heavy AT, less for others
Commander Mode and Spectator
-Commander has stationary surveillance camera on every flag held by his own team.
-Commander bonus abilities are unlocked via capturing flags. On the Siege of Shanghai map, these flags are: B,C and D.
-Spec mode uses red and blue for the different teams. One team will always be blue while the other one will always be red (on a per match basis atleast). You will notice this when the spectator switches between players on each team.
Vehicles
- small arms only damage pilot and gunner, not the chopper itself if you look closely. So no bullet proof glass
-Vehicle ammo is semi limited. For example in attack helis you have 28 rockets (+14 loaded) in reserve which you can instantly reload. You then need to wait for more to respawn. So it's a hybrid of infinite and finite ammo. The MBT shells for example, regenerate at a rate of 10s/shell, and when regenerated enter the ammo pool
-Vehicle disabling is no longer caused by reaching a damage threshold, instead caused by hitting particular points of the vehicle.
