irst. welcome to the idiocy called Logitech.
the G9/x precision grip is designed for claw and the xl grip is designed for palm. the problem is the genius engineer at Logitech thought it would be great if both grips had completely different textures. precision grip has a rough texture and xl grip has a soft texture. you will probably end up liking the texture on the xl grip more also there is 1mm of space between the grips and the housing so they rattle. I can't believe Logitech didn't fix this for the G9x.
second. the Avago 6090 laser sensor in the Logitech G9 is mediocre compared to the new Avago 9500 laser sensor in the Logitech G9x. the SteelSeries Xai uses the same sensor the Logitech G9x uses but comes with a better feature set (see below)
