The Annihilation map pack for Call of Duty: Black Ops is officially announced and trailered.

A few days ago an apparent leak ? from retailer GameStop revealed the next map pack for Black Ops. Yesterday, a release date and title followed ?. Today, it was officially announced and brought a video to show-off the new maps.

The map pack is called Annihilation and will release first on Xbox LIVE Tuesday, 28th June for 1200 Microsoft points. That's right, it deploys in less than two weeks!

As with previous Black Ops map packs, there will be four all-new multiplayer maps and a new adventure in the Zombies mode.

So what are the maps called and what do they have in store for us?

Hangar 18 - Located in the iconic military base Area 51. Includes experimental weapon labs, the SR-71 test hangar, and a disturbingly mysterious autopsy room
Drive-In - Located in a 60's American drive-in theater, a classic arcade, and a old school snack shack
Silo - Located in a massive secret Soviet missile site
Hazard - Located in a coastal golf course on the cliffs of Cuba where stocked clubhouses and manicured fairways meet sand traps perfect for setting up ambushes
Shangri-La - The Zombies level. Located in a mysterious land of an exotic jungle. Never before seen undead creatures lurk within a treacherous labyrinth of underground caverns. Watch out for deadly traps and solve the dark secrets buried within the shifting walls of a long last land
The map pack releases on Xbox LIVE in just 12 days and to celebrate, Treyarch is hosting a Double XP weekend beginning Friday, July 1st.
