Ubisoft PC games no longer require a constant internet connection
It looks like Ubisoft has learned from their mistakes.
The controversial DRM system which launched in early 2010 required you to be constantly be connected to the internet if you wanted to play the latest Ubisoft releases on the PC. The DRM system brought about much agony as even a slight disconnection would result in your game exiting, losing all unsaved data in the progress.
From now on, games will require a validation only when it is booted up. You no longer need to be connected to the net while playing the game. The change will apply to all games released in the past.
Great news for PC gamers. Now, if they could just give us a good port of AC: Brotherhood.
